GFC Kids

Friday 9.30 am-11.30 am. Term Time only.
This group is suitable for 0-4year olds.
If you have a non-walking baby (and don’t have other children) we do recommend attending our Tuesday Baby Group that meets between 10-12 noon during term time.
What happens when you arrive?
On arrival we ask you to visit the welcome desk where you:
- Sign in (this is our fire register so don’t forget to sign out when leaving!)
- Indicate your child’s drink preference (diluted orange or water)
- Pay your £2 donation by card
- If you plan to attend this group on a regular basis we will ask you to complete a registration form.
Once you have signed in you will be offered a hot/cold drink (for safety reasons, please use window ledges to store your drinks).
What happens throughout the morning?
At 9.30 we plan to have a communal craft session which will set the theme for the morning. We strongly encourage adults to supervise their little ones with this activity. The craft table will only be available for the first ¾ hour to an hour as we will then use the space for children’s snack time!
Children will be served their drink order and offered either a bread stick or mini rice cake.
At around 10.30 Mr Bible (puppet) appears and we will have a short interactive story! There will then be time for more ‘free play’ which includes a variety of toys, puzzles, play tents etc.
Our session will conclude with a communal singing time which will include lots of old favourites!
At the end of the morning, we always welcome help with ‘tidy-up time’ although this is totally voluntary! It’s then time to sign out and head home just in time for lunch!
As a church we have a safety policy and fire procedures which you will find at the bottom of this page We would be grateful if you could familiarise yourself with this if you plan to attend.
Thank you.
Baby Group
Tuesday 10.00 am – 12.00 noon. Term time only.

This is a very informal group and arriving anytime between 10.00-12.00 noon is absolutely fine!
We drink tea and coffee, eat toast and biscuits and chat, and hopefully get to know new friends! This group started in 2004 when it became apparent that the then Toddler Group was bursting at the seams and a lot of mums wanted a quieter atmosphere to talk about relevant baby things.
Each week we ask you to sign the attendance book (which acts as our fire register so you need to sign out when leaving!) We would appreciate a £2 donation to help cover our costs. If you plan to attend this group on a regular basis we also ask you to complete a registration form.
When your baby starts to walk unaided, it is then time to graduate to GFC kids where there is more age appropriate action!
As a church, we have a safety policy which you will find at the bottom of this page. We would be very grateful if you would familiarise yourself with that if you are planning to attend.
“This is such a warm and welcoming group. It was the only group I came to with my first baby and I’ve made so many friends here since. I cannot recommend it enough!”

ATTENDANCE
We do ask that parents/carers complete a registration form for each group so that we can contact you in the event of any alteration to our programme or if you leave something behind! All information is stored safely on the church premises.
PHOTOGRAPHS
Occasionally photographs taken at these groups are displayed on our church notice board, or on our church website (no names are used). If you do not want photographs of your child(ren) used in this way you must make sure you tick the appropriate box on the registration form and let your session leader know.

- Please familiarise yourself with the fire procedures below or located on the notice board in the main hall.
