King’s Club 2011 – Mission: Miracle Maker

During the week July 25th - July 29th we held our Children’s Holiday Club “King’s Club.”
This year there was a space theme as the children were challenged each day to join the mission to discover more information about the “Miracle Maker.”
Almost 100 children, aged 4 to 11, attended each day and enjoyed singing, playing games, making crafts, being entertained by the drama team, puppet shows and generally having lots of fun!!
At the same time, the children learnt about Jesus, the “Miracle Maker,” and how as the Son of God He has unique powers.
As has become our custom on the Friday afternoon, we had a barbecue for the parents and siblings at 4pm with burgers and bouncy castles.
This was very well attended, with about 200 people fed and watered!
A short presentation was made of the week’s highlights, including getting the children to demonstrate some songs and the drama group to generally make fools of themselves once again!
We ended the week with a family service on the Sunday morning at Goring Free Church where the children (and adults!) experienced some of the aspects of the mission for the very last time.
A huge thank you has to go to everybody who was involved, as a fun time seemed to be had by all, adults and children alike!
